Scotland is maybe less known than England or tan Ireland. In this “WebQuest” we will try to know more of the most important details of interesting places to visit, culture (traditions, festivities and food), famous artists etc.
In this Webquest you will find more about typical Scottish things like Tartan, Haggis, kilts, bagpipes, a spur, Loch Ness, Palace of Holyroodhouse, the thistle, tossing the caber, Robert Burns, Whisky, Gaelic… and many more.

After the introduction, I will guide students through a video which deals with the Holocaust. This will give them a little background information so they will be able to participate in the lecture. This will take 15 minutes. This is an anticipatory set in which a framework for new learning is provided.

In this project students will work in a subject integrated way. They will enhance their knowledge of an important historical period with the help of a blog-based role play.
Each student will create a character of their own, an avatar, in the city of Rosenheim, situated in the south of Germany. The character will live, act and reflect on events in Rosenheim, in Germany and in the world during the time period of 1919 – 1945. The identity of the writer (the student) will be kept secret from the readers of the blog.
