LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Introducing the reading of the novel “I Promessi Sposi” by Alessandro Manzoni through the presentation of the summary of the first chapter.
Aim of the lesson:
- to practise speaking
- to practise the use of Present Continuous and the structure there is/are
- to learn and practise new vocabulary + practise old vocabulary
5. In the following minutes the students in small groups of 2-4 will find the most important Plato’s thoughts and quotes (preferably from politology, but not exclusively). They will match these with the correct field of Plato’s philosophy (ontology, gnoseology, politology, logics, etc.) and then they will introduce them to their classmates. They can start a discussion on whether the students agree or disagree with the statements and what they think about them.
Students work in pairs or in groups, depending on the
number of students and computers in class.
It has 3 parts:
1. Knight Armour – the students have to connect the words
to the armour pieces
2. Knight Tournaments – students answer questions about
knights
3. Life of a knight – the students read a text about the life
of knights. In the text there are missing words. The
missing words are in a box above the text, the students
have to drag the words to their proper place in the text.
