Procedures:
1.Students are given the definitions of Group and Period s.
2.They are taught systematic variying features at the Periodic Table.
3.Groups of A and B and their features are told.
5. In the following minutes the students in small groups of 2-4 will find the most important Plato’s thoughts and quotes (preferably from politology, but not exclusively). They will match these with the correct field of Plato’s philosophy (ontology, gnoseology, politology, logics, etc.) and then they will introduce them to their classmates. They can start a discussion on whether the students agree or disagree with the statements and what they think about them.
Anticipated problems:
Ss may find some of the exercises as redundant having in view that in some of them they encounter commonly used phrasal verbs.
The students work with crimes in different ways. They look up words, learn them, discuss crimes in groups and class, they watch a short film, write an interrogation and a letter, they look up facts on the Internet. They then present their letter written and gives an oral presentation of the chosen criminal or crime.
Aim: Working with this activity the students will learn how to find information on the Internet, they will listen to English and they will use written and spoken English. They will learn new words.
Methodological ideas described below are suggestions for lessons which can be carried out in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd form of secondary school. Their subject matter is directly connected with the curriculum for the III and IV stage of education (middle school and secondary school) as well as with the standards of exam requirements. These suggestions and methodological ideas for teachers combine factual knowledge with practical use of the Internet.
