The students will be given the opportunity to:
- reach a better level of reading and oral interaction in a common, known situation.
- focus on the ability of co-operative working with other learners, working towards a common goal

The purpose of the lesson is to have the students' research, in depth a country in Africa. It is important for the students to know a little about these places so they will develop a better understanding of the world around them. The lesson and unit will focus on major facts about 6 countries in Africa. These facts deal with the history, geography, economy, and interesting things about each country.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Introducing the reading of the novel “I Promessi Sposi” by Alessandro Manzoni through the presentation of the summary of the first chapter.

This is an activity 'about' the internet, the idea is that students try and predict the first paragraph of the Wikipedia entry for their town, region or country.

Objective 1
Students to have knowledge of what happens in the analogy of the cave.
Objective 2
Students to understand what is represented by various aspects of the analogy.

Students should know more complex structures of the English sentence and know how to ask questions related to their everyday experience (past tense of verbs to be, to have, most common verbs related to everyday activities, modals, quantifiers).
