Do you think that the project has had an impact on your students’ motivation?

One of the often mentioned problems of today's teaching is the difficulty of getting students to be motivated. Some students consider school activities, homework of all kinds, or projects, to be rather tedious. However, this sort of project, with its focus on ICT, can pique students' interest, and, consequently, increase their motivation to study and apply themselves. For instance, my 11th graders will have to work in groups and make short films on given topics to present in English class. Some of them were less than enthusiastic at the idea, probably because they intuited the possible difficulties, but their attitude changed for the better when I referred to the winner and the runner-up of the Science Film Festival, and they realized that students their age, and sometimes younger, had been able to do such great work. I think it definitely motivated to try it for themselves.

I think so. On one hand it was "work" for them and they had to be pushed at first, but as they were getting started they got more and more autonomous and motivated.
